Our Sphynx journey started at the 2008 ACFA show in Winnipeg where I met Corilee Boer of Angelicsphynx Cattery. Corilee and I clicked from the first minute and I knew we would become good friends. What really helped is that we both love the Lord, adore each others' breed of cats and have so many other things in common!

Blown away by the awesome temperament and touched by the baby-soft skin of the Sphynx breed, we adopted our first two kittens during our trip to Sioux Falls in August 2008. We named them Esther and Luath. Both of them are simply adorable!

Luath is a Blue Mink male and Esther is a Seal Mink female.

Being allergic to cat hair, my husband is now finally able to get really close to a cat without suffering the consequences!!

As a breeder of Maine Coon cats exclusively for the past 21 years and being accustomed to very large cats with LOTS o hair (lol), it seemingly had to be a bit of  a "process" to get used to this "slightly different" breed :-0).  Having added a third Sphynx to our family already after 6 months, I must have gotten over my innitial concerns fairly fast :))

I always thought Maine Coons had the best temperament in the world. Well, that was until I met these guys. Hard to believe but I actually see even more gentleness, sweetness and people dependency that I am accustomed to from  my other breed. What happy little creates they are!
Even though Sphynx are not hyper or destructive, everthing seems to be carried out by them at a faster pace and with a lot more curiosity and calculation - somewhat "monkey like".

Most people expect these babies to be more on the fragile side. Needless to say, I am pleasantly surprised about their "toughness".  The only problem we are having with them is that we won't get out of bed anymore in the morning LOL.
They all like sleeping under our blankets and their purr motor is going constantly.

The three in their "ski" sweaters :-))

Oh, and for some of you who think us Canadians reside in iglus, let me assure you that we do have central heat! Our cats only wear sweaters early in the morning during picture sessions and mostly for fun. Their body temperature is higher than ours which makes them feel quite happy being bare naked :))
I mostly enjoy kissing their warm tummies and wrapping them up in pink and light blue bath robes and skin-so-soft baby towels. Wrapping them up after their weekly bath brings out the real grandma in me.....

Our newest Addition: Arhur!
...........a little Blue eyed White baby boy........

What species is this?

I think it's Arthur - ready for take-off!

Around 6 weeks on picture, picture taken by Corilee!

Here is my favorite shot of Arthur:

"Mom, I know it's picture day and I had so much fun playing in the mud! You didn't tell me to put on a clean shirt, or did you? "

 Kids these days! :-)

Here is Arthur in his Ski sweater:

Due to their fantastic quality, we are looking forward to showing Esther,  Luath and Arthur in ACFA. All three of them are our spayed and neutered pets.
A sincere Thank-you to Corilee Boer, the breeder!
